We have two Rock and Roll musicals from the Hal Leonard Company. I used these with upper Elementary students in 4-6 grades. One is called Rock and Roll Forever and is by John Jacobson and John Higgins. It has some parts for speakers in between the songs. The songs are mostly unison and two part harmony. It also has choreography instructions. This includes the teacher edition and CD with full singing and accompaniment and accompaniment only (for performance). The second is called The Beat Goes On by Mac Huff and John Jacobson. This one also a teacher’s edition and a « Show Trax » CD. It is a more difficult two part musical with just songs and dances (no speaker parts). This one also could easily be used at a middle school level. Disclaimer- when I bought this at full price, it included a license to perform these. If you want to use these in a classroom, you may need to research whether you need to buy a new license fee to cover yourself.
