Take the guesswork out of learning to play the country fiddle. Roy’s Fiddle Magic Method will teach you an interesting variety of fiddle songs presented in a systematic “one-step-at-a-time” manner. Country fiddling is an honored part of the American tradition. The “Rural South” produced a rough country style that is now called “old time” music. Bluegrass is a fast-paced virtuoso style rooted in early country, gospel and blues music. Fiddling, like social dancing, has undergone a continuous broadening of scope with each generation. Some of the most recent Great American Fiddlers include Johnny Gimble, Benny Thomasson, Kenny Baker, Mark O’Conner, Vassar Clements, Benny Martin, Clark Kessinger, Herman Johnson, Howdy Forrester, Byron Berline, Richard Greene, Chubby Wise and of course, Roy Clark. Roy Clark’s exceptional talent on both the banjo and the guitar is so well-known that many people forget that he is also an outstanding fiddler. But if you’ve ever seen Roy “smokin” on his fiddle in concert, you know that he is one of the best. If you want to take the guesswork out of learning the country fiddle, Roy Clark’s Fiddle Magic Method will show you the way. As you work through this best-selling Santorella Publication you will learn an interesting variety of fiddle songs presented in a systematic “one step at a time” manner.
